Enjoy an afternoon with a leisurely glide down the Bow River in a classic Canadian canoe. Town Coureur des Bois were independent entrepreneurial French Canadian traders who traveled in New France and the interior of North America. Re-live a part of history with the tools of exploration and trade.
The Voyageur canoe was used by both Indigenous and European settlers to reach seasonal hunting grounds, trade with other peoples and to explore unknown regions. The rivers were the Highways of all lands before the industrial revolution and the Canoe was indispensable all over the world. Our guides will share local knowledge of the attractions and history before disembarking for the rest of your day.
