From frozen canyons and fat tire e-bikes to snowshoe trails and the darkest skies in the valley — Canmore’s winter runs from November through April, and we’re based right in the middle of it. Start with the four adventures we run ourselves, then browse the full lineup of winter experiences we can book for you.

The Grotto Canyon Ice Walk is 15 minutes east of town, the Spray Lakes Snowshoe Tour heads into the quiet side of Kananaskis, fat tire e-bikes roll out from our shop on Railway Avenue, and our private stargazing tour picks you up at your hotel. Grotto Canyon Ice Walk

A guided walk into Grotto Canyon — golden larches and the first ice on the falls this fall, a frozen creek bed and waterfalls locked in ice by December. 2.5 hrs, all gear included. Ages 6+.

Fat Tire E-Bike Rentals in Canmore

Studded, fat-tired Pedego e-bikes built for Canmore's winter pathways and the Bow River loop — the motor does the work, the tires do the gripping. From $30/hr, ages 12+.

Spray Lakes Snowshoe Tour

A guided snowshoe through the quiet side of Kananaskis — frozen Spray Lakes, snow-loaded forest, and peaks on every side. 3 hrs, all gear included. Ages 6+.

Private Stargazing & Northern Lights Tour

Your own private night under the darkest sky in the Bow Valley — guided constellation tour, aurora watch, blankets and hot chocolate at Spray Lakes. Up to 11 guests, from $800 per group.

Caving – Canmore Explorer Tour

The Explorer Tour may be our shortest cave tour, but it is by no means short on fun and excitement. Your guide will introduce you to the amazing world of caves, spending approximately 2 hours underground crawling past prehistoric bones, investigating our ancient cave formations and even squeezing into places like the warm-up and challenge squeezes (if you so choose of course!).

The Adventure Tour is Canmore's flagship caving tour and has been recognized as a Canadian Signature Experience. As the longest tour we offer in Rat’s Nest Cave, the Adventure Tour is the complete package.

Via Ferrata – Icefields Parkway
