Winter Canyoneering – Half Day (Beginner)

Hike, slide, and rappel through a frozen canyon wonderland.

Step into a world few ever see in winter — a sculpted canyon of snow, ice, and frozen waterfalls just outside Canmore. On this half-day winter canyoneering adventure, you’ll hike, scramble, and rappel through an icy landscape carved by time and transformed by the cold.

Led by certified guides, you’ll learn the basics of rappelling, rope safety, and movement on ice while descending a beautiful, family-friendly canyon. This is the only adventure of its kind in Banff & Canmore, and it’s perfect for beginners, families, and anyone seeking a one-of-a-kind winter experience.
