Big mountain views, glacial waters, beautiful spruce and pine shorelines and ample opportunities to catch a glimpse or two of some wildlife, are just a few of the highlights that our Townie Float offer our guests. Tie that in with a fully guided experience from one of our interpretive guides and this makes for the perfect outing for everyone. This gentle 1 hr float starts downtown Canmore, only a few minutes away from the local pubs, restaurants, shops and galleries, and only a hop, skip and a jump from most hotels and bed and breakfasts.
Join us for a guided afternoon adventure paddling down the crystal-clear waters of the Bow River in a stable, inflatable kayak. This relaxing and scenic float is perfect for visitors of all ages and experience levels.
Curious about climbing or ready to take your skills to the next level? This tour offers you a chance to connect with nature, challenge yourself, and discover why the Canadian Rockies are a world-renowned climbing destination.
It’s the Kananaskis River with a twist!  As Rafters, we go head to head with the biggest rapids on the river.  After we’ve pushed through the rapid we then paddle back towards the flow and catch the wave.  Hang on tight, feel the power of the river as you surf the wave.  It’s a different way to experience Whitewater Rafting; we promise you won’t regret it.
The Grotto Canyon Ice Walk may be a quick approach, but it’s full of unforgettable winter magic. Your guide will lead you into a narrow frozen canyon where icy waterfalls, ancient pictographs, and towering rock walls surround you at every turn. With ice cleats strapped on, you’ll explore the frozen creek bed, take in breathtaking views, and discover one of the Bow Valley’s hidden winter gems. Hot chocolate, snacks, and chances to spot wildlife make this a must-do adventure for anyone visiting Canmore.
Our signature Ghost Canyoning Trip, located on the North eastern edge of Banff National Park is one of the most secluded, wild, & spectacular canyon trips you’ll experience anywhere. An all day adventure requiring 4×4 access, this spectacular experience rewards any visitor with remote mountain vistas and a canyon experience second to none.
Enjoy an afternoon with a leisurely glide down the Bow River in a classic Canadian canoe. Town Coureur des Bois were independent entrepreneurial French Canadian traders who traveled in New France and the interior of North America. Re-live a part of history with the tools of exploration and trade.
On the Bow Valley Via Ferrata winter experience, travel up Steve’s Canyon and see how time has carved away at the limestone to create beautiful smooth faces in the canyon. Along the way, climb out to stunning views of the surrounding alpine landscape. This adventure offers a unique blend of geology, vertical movement, and visual reward.
The Kananaskis River hosts playful whitewater rapids and scenic landscapes. With class 2-3 whitewater rapids, it’s a great adventure for all ages (5 years old and up) and ability levels; a river experience everyone can enjoy!
Canmore Adventures Canoe Rentals include a stable, easy-to-paddle canoe, paddles, and properly fitted personal flotation devices (PFDs) for an unforgettable experience in the breathtaking landscapes of the Canadian Rockies.
Join Canmore Adventures and expert PeakSTRATAGEM guides for an unforgettable vertical adventure in the Bow Valley. Originally developed to move troops through the Alps during wartime, Via Ferrata allows you to safely scale a cliff face using a system of ladders, rungs, and cables—no prior climbing experience required.
The Explorer Tour may be our shortest cave tour, but it is by no means short on fun and excitement. Your guide will introduce you to the amazing world of caves, spending approximately 2 hours underground crawling past prehistoric bones, investigating our ancient cave formations and even squeezing into places like the warm-up and challenge squeezes (if you so choose of course!).
