Winter Fat Tire E-Bike Rentals

Canmore Fat Tire E-Bike Rentals

Studded, fat-tired Pedego e-bikes built for Canmore’s winter pathways and the Bow River loop — the motor does the work, the tires do the gripping. From $30/hr, ages 12+.

Winter doesn’t close Canmore’s trails — it just changes who’s on them. Our Pedego Element fat tire e-bikes run four-inch tires, studded for ice, with a pedal-assist motor that turns a cold headwind and a snowy hill into a non-event. Ride the plowed pathway network through town, loop the Bow River with Ha Ling and the Three Sisters in full winter dress, or push further when conditions allow. No spandex, no suffering, no experience needed. If you can ride a bike, you can ride this in January.

Every rental comes fitted to you at our shop on Railway Avenue with a helmet, lights, a lock and a route briefing for that day’s conditions — we ride these trails all winter and we know which ones are worth it.

What to Expect:

  • Custom bike fitting and a five-minute walkthrough of the pedal-assist system — you’ll be comfortable before you leave the parking lot
  • Studded four-inch tires that grip packed snow and ice while still rolling easily on cleared pavement
  • A same-day route briefing: which pathways are plowed, where the ice is, and where the best views are
  • Canmore’s winter pathway network, the Bow River loop and Policeman’s Creek — mostly flat, mostly plowed, entirely spectacular
  • High-capacity batteries that hold their charge in the cold for a full day of riding

Why We Love It:

Most visitors put the bikes away in October. That’s the moment the pathways empty out, the mountains go white, and Canmore turns into the ride it was always meant to be. A studded fat tire e-bike is the easiest, warmest, most fun way to see it — and almost nobody else is offering one.
